Welcome to The Capital Dialogue!
Hello! Thank you for coming across my blog - The Capital Dialogue.
Hello! Thank you for coming across my blog - The Capital Dialogue. I created this blog simply to create a community of like-minded individuals, in hopes that we can create a dialogue about investing in the stock market. Ultimately, I hope that I can attract a crowd of relatively new investors, along with the seasoned investors.
As social media grows, everybody has ‘trader’ or ‘entrepreneur’ in their bio. That is great and all, but the ‘trader’ tag scares me, especially for those that do not know what they are doing. Safe to say, the majority of the social media ‘traders’ are not guiding the new investor down the right path. Now, I do not want this to be a lecture discussion, rather an open discussion.
I want us to be able to bounce ideas off each other, something as simple as, “thoughts on $AAPL?” I also want the seasoned crowd to be able to discuss complex derivative strategies as well! An OPEN DIALOGUE FOR ALL! How am I going to do this? I am going to create a discord - sometime soon.
Now me - what is my obligation to the reader? I will be posting as much as possible - I do work in finance, so ultimately it is a bit difficult to give a schedule to you guys. I promise, it will be quality content, though. Ultimately, this is an opinion based blog - so I am going to try to give some names of stocks that I like, and I hope that you guys give me feedback on whether you love it, or hate it. I will give rationale and try my best to give some actual financial metrics.
I consider myself a hybrid investor, meaning my portfolio is based around growth & value. Some stocks I like are based on value - trading cheap relative to their competitors, but some are simply speculative and are very expensive, but I believe have great growth metrics. Some will be dividend plays, but traditionally, I am not a trader. I expect to hold most of my investments over a long term time horizon, although that is not always the case as some stocks obviously have quick run-ups or quick declines.
So I will end with this - thanks so much for reading, and I truly hope that you stick around and subscribe and join the dialogue!
